About Us
We are a small friendly community of believers abiding in the love of Jesus Christ and serving the greater East Peoria area.
Core values of the East Peoria Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship:
Through the grace of God, we commit to declaring the present truth of Jesus as revealed in the Bible and to uphold the teachings and principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
To bring the body of Christ into spiritual maturity, we will foster spiritual growth in members which leads to Christian service and evidence of the fruits of the Spirit.
Because we were first loved by Christ, we will exemplify His unfailing love through our compassion for each other and for all of God's children.
We will glorify God through sacred, reverent Sabbath services which are relevant to the spiritual needs of God's children who do not yet know Him.
As co-laborers for Christ, we will equip members, through training, education, and the development of spiritual gifts, to become servants of Jesus in reaching the East Peoria community with the gospel of Christ's love.
As children of the heavenly Father, we will value each of His children by being sensitive to the needs of all age groups in each aspect of church life.
Because we believe that every member is a servant of God, we will empower members through lay leader ministry which makes decisions based upon prayerful group consensus in harmony with Scripture.
About Seventh-day Adventists
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. More >>
